Flooding leaves one of Dupont's only stores underwater as owners begin long recovery

For many people in the small community of Dupont near Plaucheville, Cooyons is the place they rely on for gas, groceries, hot meals and everyday necessities. Now, after historic flooding in southern Avoyelles Parish, owner Heather Cormier says the store that has served the area for 16 years is facing a devastating loss.
