Former IMPD officer guilty of child sex crimes
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A jury in Hendricks County has convicted a former Indianapolis police officer of sex crimes against a child.
Online court records show the jury yesterday found Kamal Bola guilty of a total of six criminal counts, including child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor, and obstruction of justice.
The jury found him not guilty on only one of the charges.
Bola, of Avon, was a six-year veteran of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department when Hendricks County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested him in September 2024.
Investigators say bola later admitted to touching a child inappropriately and to using a camera to spy on the girl in her room.
