Foundation of Pacers’ Pascal Siakam celebrates launch of school partnership

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam on Monday afternoon planned to visit students at Indiana Math and Science Academy West to celebrate to celebrate the launch of a partnership between the school and his nonprofit PS43 Foundation.

The partnership between Siakam and the academy is the foundation’s first K-12 collaboration in Indiana. It also expands the reach of the Siakam EdTech Engine, a program that helps students build skills in technology, creativity and problem-solving.

Justin Kirby, assistant principal at the academy, said in a statement in a news release, “We are honored to partner with Pascal Siakam and the PS43 Foundation.”

During Pascal’s visit to the school, he will spend time with students in the program and also talk with teachers about how new tools are helping students learn.  Those new tools include Cyber Legends, which teaches students how to navigate the online world safely, and also English Islands, artificial intel...
