Frontier adds flights to Miami for IU fans going to championship game

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Shortly after the Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Oregon Ducks in the Peach Bowl, Frontier Airlines announced it’s adding flights from Indianapolis International Airport to Miami International Airport for the College Football Playoff National Championship.

The schedule for the new Frontier flights includes departures from Indianapolis to Miami at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 17 and at 10:15 a.m. Jan. 18 Return flights from Miami to Indianapolis are set for Jan. 20, departing at 10:30 a.m. and again at 1 p.m.

In a news release issued Friday night, Josh Flyr, a Frontier vice president, said in a statement, “We can’t wait to see our aircraft packed with cream and crimson as excited fans head to the Sunshine State to cheer on their team in person during college football’s biggest game of the year, as well as enjoy the amazing attractions, dining and culture Miami has to offer.”
