Gas prices surge as Memorial Day travelers hit the road

An estimated 45 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home between Thursday and Monday for the Memorial Day weekend, according to AAA of Missouri. Travelers are encountering higher gas prices at the pump compared to one year ago.
