INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Governor Mike Braun has declared a statewide disaster emergency in Indiana following widespread damage caused by severe storms, flooding, and a derecho that swept across the state this week.

Braun announced the declaration Thursday on X, saying it will mobilize state agencies, unlock emergency resources and provide additional tools to support local response and recovery efforts.
