Hawaiʻi smokers found to give up $5 million over their lifetime

Hawaiʻi has some of the highest cigarette prices in the nation. A person who smokes a pack a day could spend roughly $11,000 a year. Over a lifetime, from age 21 to 69, that adds up to more than $255,000 just on cigarettes.
