HAZMAT team called in to assist with Oceanside house fire

Oceanside firefighters responded to a house fire Thursday evening, containing the blaze to one second-floor bedroom and utilizing a HAZMAT team to safely remove and dispose of damaged lithium-ion batteries, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
