Gwyneth Paltrow is officially back in Hollywood — and she’s opening up about why she stepped away, what brought her back, and how her empty nest surprisingly pushed her into her next chapter.
After nearly seven years away from acting (and more than 15 years since her last major film role), the Goop founder is making her highly anticipated return in Marty Supreme. And according to Gwyneth, the break wasn’t just intentional — it was necessary.
“I felt a lot of loneliness when I was doing it in my 20s,” she explained to Jacob Elordi during their Variety Actors on Actors conversation published Dec. 9. “I didn’t know myself well yet, and I was traveling all the time. I needed to grow up and understand who I really was, and I got a lot of those answers through my family. Then I started a business.”
