Hit-or-miss showers for Saturday, Sunday trending drier
It was another severe weather day across Central PA yesterday, marking a busy summer for the region since July 4th. There were multiple severe thunderstorm warnings and even two tornado warnings in Lancaster County late yesterday afternoon. Strong isolated wind gusts and heavy rain occurred within the line of storms. We’ve received multiple storm reports of structure damage in both York and Lancaster Counties. Those damage reports will be surveyed today to see if the damage was produced by a tornado or from straight-line winds. Drier, more stable air filtered into the region last night, with temperatures dropping into the 50s this morning.
