Hochul’s 30-day amendments increase budget by $2.7 billion

Governor Kathy Hochul submitted amendments to the Fiscal Year 2027 Executive Budget, increasing spending by 1% and providing more support to local governments, including New York City, as well as increasing state assistance for universities and tapping into interest earned on unspent money from the Federal American Rescue Plan.
