HONOLULU (KHON2) -- 50% plus one vote. That's the target tonight for the campaign of Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi.
If they hit that mark, they'll be able to bypass the general election and focus on the work here in the City and County. Blangiardi is running against three other candidates.
When interviewed earlier on Saturday, Mayor Blangiardi was full of energy and joy, riding around town on a trolley and greeting some of his sign wavers.
He said he inherited a time with a lot of pain and tragedy and moving forward, he wants to give people hope.
