House passes Indiana redistricting bill

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Representatives in the Indiana Statehouse have voted to pass a bill set to redraw the state’s congressional districts.

The 51 – 47 vote came down early Friday afternoon.

Indiana lawmakers met Monday for the start of the legislative session and first addressed the bill, dubbed House Bill 1032.

The proposal would rearrange the state’s congressional districts, including splitting Marion County into four districts rather than two.

The bill was subjected to several proposed changes from House Democrats on Thursday, who had filed 21 amendments prior to the meeting. Read Entire Article
