Body found in apparent homicide on near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide near an intersection on the city’s near northwest side Sunday.

Around 1:16 p.m. Sunday, IMPD officers responded to the 800 block of West 29th Street on a report of a death investigation. That is near the intersection of West 29th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street. Officers arrived and found a victim inside a vehicle with traumatic injuries.

Investigators are treating this as a homicide investigation. No additional information has been provided at this time.
