INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a death near train tracks on the city’s near east side.

At 5:49 p.m. Monday, IMPD Southeast District officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Moore Avenue on a report of a possible death investigation. That is just east of Interstate 70. Officers arrived and found a man unresponsive near the train tracks on Moore Avenue.

Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation.
