INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least one person died Thursday morning in a crash on the northwest side of Indianapolis, according to police.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a 6:50 a.m. email that officers were at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on West 79th Street, just east of Michigan Road.

Investigators did not say if anyone else was injured, and the cause of the crash was unclear.

79th Street was closed for roughly three hours and reopened just after 10 a.m.
