INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The search for a missing autistic teen has turned to a recovery mission as Indianapolis police say the boy may have fallen into the White River.

Robert “RJ” Williams Jr. was reported missing on Dec. 17 from the 1000 block of Broad Ripple Avenue. That’s right off the Monon Trail Crossing east of Winthrop Avenue.

On Dec. 18, members of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department searched that area, reportedly finding Williams’ backpack and gym bag on a dock along the White River.
