Indianapolis outlines Final Four safety measures

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — City leaders on Thursday rolled out their safety plan as tens of thousands are expected to head to downtown Indianapolis for Final Four weekend.

“Events like these are only successful as they are safe. We want everyone to have a positive experience next weekend,” said Democratic Mayor Joe Hogsett.

About 70,000 people were expected downtown for Final Four weekend, and city leaders said a public safety plan being put in place. Patrick Talty, president of Indiana Sports Corp, said, “Because of their planning, dedication and commitment, we are aligned, and we are ready to host a successful Final Four.”
