INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will host seven public workshops across the state, starting Thursday in Marion County, to gather input for a new statewide water inventory and management plan.

Gov. Mike Braun on April 21 signed an executive order to develop such a plan.

Anyone at the workshops can give feedback on enhancing Indiana’s water monitoring networks. The Natural Resources department is also seeking input on building an online management platform for water data.

The first three in-person workshops will be this month from 1-4 p.m.: Thursday at The Garrison restaurant at Fort Harrison State Park in Lawrence; Feb. 24 at Clifty Inn at Clifty Falls State Park in Madison; Feb. 26 at the Washington Community Building in Daviess County on Feb. 26.

Two in-person workshops will be in April: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 7 at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne; and 1-4 p.m. April 16 at the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette.

The final in-person workshop will be 1-4 p.m. May 12 at the Knox Community Building in Starke County.

A virtual workshop will be in May at a time to be determined. Read Entire Article
