INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The latest state standardized testing results show Indiana students continue to make gains in reading, while math remains an area education leaders say needs more work.

Perhaps the most significant trend in the results shared Tuesday from the Indiana Department of Education involved Indiana’s youngest students. Nearly 89% of third graders read at their grade level, marking the fifth consecutive year that reading scores have improved.
