FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A 26-year-old woman has been sentenced to a year of prison for “battering two children” on a school bus, police say.

According to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office, in the morning of Oct. 21, 2025, Greenwood police officers were called to a bus stop in Greenwood in response to a report of two adults boarding a school bus full of young children, causing a disturbance.

After collecting witness statements and security video from the bus, officers say Raven Barner of Indianapolis and another adult entered the bus as their child was boarding.
