Interstate 5 Tejon Pass rest areas to be closed for construction

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The rest areas for northbound and southbound Interstate 5 on the Tejon Pass are set to be closed for a construction project. The closure started Wednesday, May 13, according to officials. The project is to upgrade the water and wastewater facilities. The project is expected to be completed by August 2027.
