BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Let’s call it “Fernando-mania.”

Heisman-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza on Wednesday evening drew a large crowd while signing autographs at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Bloomington, an effort to celebrate the Indiana University’s teams perfect season that ended Monday night with the College Football Playoff National Championship title.

At the store, 250 fans secured wristbands to meet the quarterback and receive personalized autographs. Many fans waited for hours in the cold starting Tuesday night to secure their wristbands.
