Jefferson County sheriff’s office mourns death of retired Capt. Mark Harper

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of retired Capt. Mark Allen Harper, who died at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with his health, and to honor his service, flags at the sheriff's office and county detention facilities will fly at half-staff.
