COMMISKEY, Ind. (WISH) — After a six-month investigation, a woman has been charged with the battery of two children younger than 14, court records show.
According to state police, 29-year-old Meranda Swim of Commiskey, Indiana, was arrested this past weekend without incident.
In August 2025, Detective Jason Duncan of ISP-Versailles Post, began an investigation after being contacted by the Indiana Department of Child Services after they had been notified of two children that had possibly been battered by Swim.
According to online court documents, Swim has been charged with four counts of battery on a person less than 14 years old and one count of neglect of a dependent.
Her initial hearing is set for March 13 in Jennings County.
