Knife-wielding attacker stabs woman multiple times in Queens ambush

Woman ambushed and stabbed by suspect who fled on foot

QUEENS, N.Y. — A woman was brutally attacked in an early morning ambush when a knife-wielding suspect approached her from behind and stabbed her multiple times before fleeing.

The violent incident happened around 6:17 a.m. on March 16 near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and 94th Street.

The 29-year-old victim was caught off guard as the suspect pulled a knife and carried out the attack, striking her several times across her body.

The attacker then ran off on foot and remains at large.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the search continues.
