Lawmakers soften proposed packaging reduction act

Over 250 local advocates, doctors, and lawmakers rallied at the state Capitol to call for the passage of the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act, which would require companies to reduce single-use plastic packaging and pay for local recycling programs.
