INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two attorneys told News 8 Thursday past experience suggests the Indiana Court of Appeals is unlikely to overturn Richard Allen’s conviction in the Delphi murders.

Allen’s attorneys filed an appeal seeking to overturn his conviction last year for the 2017 murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German near the Monon Trail high bridge in Delphi, Indiana. In their court filing, his lawyers argue when investigators applied for a search warrant for Allen’s home, they excluded eyewitness descriptions of the man seen in video captured on German’s cell phone–a figure that became known as “Bridge Guy”–that did not match his description.
