
Chometz burning in Jackson draws crews, volunteers as smoke spreads through neighborhoods
JACKSON, NJ – A noticeable smell of smoke drifting through parts of Jackson on Wednesday morning is tied to a coordinated series of chometz burnings taking place across the township ahead of Passover. The annual event, organized by the Jackson Jewish Community Council, brings together local agencies and volunteers to supervise the safe disposal of chometz at multiple sites.
