Prosecutors say victim suffered life-threatening injuries in early morning assault
Mineola, NY – A Long Beach man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder after prosecutors say he ambushed a former coworker and repeatedly struck him with an ax, leaving the victim with severe, long-term injuries.
Anthony Calvo, 35, entered the guilty plea Friday before Judge Robert Bogle in Nassau County Court. He is expected to be sentenced to 22 years in prison on May 1.
