INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died in a Tuesday afternoon crash into a tree on the east side of Indianapolis, police say.
The crash was reported just after 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Shortridge Road. That’s in an area with homes, businesses and a solar farm northeast of the interchange for Shadeland Avenue and East Washington Street.
Police say the man’s vehicle was southbound on Shortridge Road before hitting the tree.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was preparing to provide additional information from the crash scene. The department’s fatal crash team will investigate the crash.
An IMPD East District station is near the crash site.
No additional information was immediately available.
