Deadly shooting leaves man killed on city block in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A man was found fatally shot in the head on a Baltimore street Wednesday evening, prompting a homicide investigation, officials said.

The deadly violence unfolded around 7:47 p.m. in the 1200 block of Rossiter Avenue, where officers responded to reports of a shooting.

When police arrived, they discovered an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives quickly took over the investigation as authorities began working to identify the victim and determine what led to the fatal shooting.
