INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to 80 years in prison in what police say is “one of the worst cases” of child pornography they’ve ever seen.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) on Friday announced that prosecutors have convicted Andre Brewer, 34, of multiple major felony offenses against children resulting in an 80-year prison sentence. Brewer pleaded guilty to six charges, including two counts of child molesting, child exploitation, child pornography, promotion of child sex trafficking, and child solicitation for his roles in three criminal cases.
Brewer was previously arrested in July 2023 on a warrant for four counts of child molesting and one count of child exploitation. Court documents show that Brewer allegedly molested two children. They were ages 3 and 11 at the time of his arrest. On Aug. 5, 2023, Brewer was released from jail on a $40,000 surety bond, according to online court records.
Indianapolis detectives continued investigating Brewer while he was out on bond. As a result of their initial investigation, they confiscated 28 electronic devices, including eight phones and two laptops.
