Mental competency evaluation ordered for San Marcos murder suspect

Luis Alvarado was charged with two counts of murder, one count of arson and one count of animal cruelty in the deaths of Michael and Kathy Austin and was ordered to be mentally evaluated to see if he's competent to stand trial.
