Missouri has "no plans" for targeted deer removal in 2026

The Missouri Department of Conservation will not conduct targeted deer removals this winter and instead plans to rely on hunters and landowners as its primary partners in managing chronic wasting disease, Director Jason Sumners announced in an open letter to Missourians.
