MTA files multimillion dollar lawsuit against federal government for Second Avenue Subway

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government demanding nearly $60 million in frozen transit funds, alleging that the federal government broke a contract that guaranteed money for the Second Avenue Subway expansion into East Harlem.
