
(The Center Square) – Nashville may soon be known for more than music, as a leading coffee company is locating its southeast corporate office there.
Seattle-based Starbucks made the announcement Tuesday along with Tennessee officials, with specific details to be announced at a later date.
“Looking ahead, Starbucks has great ambitions to grow even further across North America,” said Mike Grams, chief operating officer for Starbucks, in a release. “With these growth plans, we see Nashville, Tennessee, as an ideal location to open an office and establish a more strategic presence in the Southeast region of the U.S. The city offers a deep, talented and growing workforce, making it a desirable location for us.”
Tuesday’s announcement did not specify a location for the company or how many jobs would be created.
