INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Citizens Energy Group will close the northbound lanes of North White River Parkway Drive West for up to three weeks starting Monday.
The closure will be just north of the intersection with West Michigan Street to allow for sewer improvements. Drivers will be detoured from the northbound route via West Street, using West Michigan and West 10th streets.
A portion of the Central White River Trail in that same area will also shut down during the project, the utility company said. Pedestrians will be rerouted using Porto Alegre Street across the White River.
Access to homes and businesses within the construction zone will remain open. The utility company said the work will not interrupt sewer service, though neighbors may see crews working around manholes in the area.
Citizens Energy Group has already reached out to nearby residents and local leaders to share details about the project.
