Nevada ranks in top 3 for reporting cyber crimes; expert says criminals abuse trust

Nevada ranks third in the number of criminal cyber complaints filed in 2025, according to an annual report by the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), a division of the FBI. The report said roughly 407 people for every 100,000 reported a cybercrime in 2025.
