New Roads’ historic CCC parade keeps century-old Mardi Gras tradition rolling

New Roads, Louisiana has been hosting the Community Center Carnival parade, the oldest parade in the state outside of New Orleans, since 1922, drawing crowds of up to 100,000 people.
