New Scotland residents voice concerns over proposed battery storage facility in packed meeting

Bees, a packed house and a location change all told the story of Tuesday night's New Scotland Planning Board meeting. About 15 minutes before the 6 p.m. meeting, nearly 70 residents were already gathered outside of town hall, ready to voice their concerns over a battery energy storage system (BESS) proposed by Troy based company New Leaf Energy.
