Nikki Glaser Reveals the Unfiltered Jokes She Scrapped Before the Golden Globes

Nikki Glaser may have absolutely crushed her second turn as Golden Globes host, but even her razor-sharp set didn’t make it to air unedited. After delivering a night full of laugh-out-loud moments at the 2026 ceremony, the comedian is now pulling back the curtain on the jokes that were deemed a little too spicy for the star-studded crowd.

Fresh off the Globes, Nikki appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where she admitted that some of her favorite punchlines didn’t survive the final cut — and she’s totally at peace with that now.

“Things live on,” she explained, noting that awards shows are a different beast than a comedy club. “Sometimes a joke is just for the room.” Nikki added, “There’s been times where jokes have really hurt people’s feelings or I’ve gone too far and I feel like I’m always okay with losing stuff now. It was always really hard to cut those jokes, and now I’m just like, ‘You just don’t get everything you want, and you just gotta move on and let’s just write a better joke. There’s gotta be a better joke out there.’”

Still, fans are understandably dying to know what didn’t make it. And while the jokes were ultimately scrapped, they were very much on-brand Nikki — bold, biting and unapologetically savage.
