No. 5 Hawaii men's volleyball swept by UC San Diego

The No. 5 University of Hawaii men's volleyball team was swept 27-25, 25-21, 25-20 on Saturday at UC San Diego.

Having already defeated the Tritons on Friday to secure the 3 seed in the upcoming Big West Tournament, the Rainbow Warriors close their regular season 22-6 overall and 5-5 in Big West Conference play.

Keoni Thiim had a team-high 12 kills for Hawaii, while Sebastian Lara had a match-high 14 for UCSD.

Hawaii will UC Santa Barbara in Thursday's Big West Conference Tournament opener, with Long Beach State and UC Irvine earning the top two seeds and bye into Friday's semifinals.
