NYPD seeks suspect in violent strangulation attack at 30th Avenue subway station

Queens, NY – The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted for a violent assault that left a woman injured at the 30th Avenue subway station in Astoria earlier this month.

Police say the incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. A 49-year-old woman was exiting the station when an unidentified individual approached her from behind and suddenly pushed her.
