Park Forest woman charged with attempted murder in December South Side shooting

Chicago, IL – A 26-year-old Park Forest woman has been charged in connection with the shooting of a 20-year-old man last month on Chicago’s South Side, police announced Thursday.

According to the Chicago Police Department, Diamond Freeman, of the 300 block of Juniper Street in Park Forest, was taken into custody on January 21 by CPD officers and members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Freeman was charged with one felony count of attempted murder and one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm.
