Man hurt after shooting on I-70
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A passenger in a car was shot Tuesday morning on I-70 eastbound on the near east side, Indiana State Police said.
Sgt. John Perrine said the shooting happened near the Rural Street and Keystone Avenue exits, just east of downtown, in a social media post about 11:30 a.m.
State police said an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer arrived shortly after the shooting and found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg standing outside a silver Dodge Charger. The officer applied a tourniquet before the man was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
