Pedestrian dead after being hit by semi-truck

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a semi-truck Saturday morning near White River, SD. According to the Mellette County Sheriff's Office, at 11 a.m., a southbound semi-truck on US Highway 83 struck a female pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
