18-year-old woman arrested for armed robbery in Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — A suspect wanted after pepper-spraying a restaurant owner during a dine-and-dash incident was arrested Tuesday after police also found dozens of stolen items in her car during a traffic stop.
The Fort Wayne Police Department announced the arrest Thursday.
Riyana Harris, 18, faces a felony charge after a traffic stop revealed marijuana and a large amount of suspected stolen merchandise.
The initial incident happened at the Khai Fusion restaurant on Feb. 4. The owner told investigators that the suspect, Harris, ordered a meal and tried to leave without paying. When confronted, she sprayed them with mace, then fled the scene.
