Person detained after shooting on Indy’s southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person has been detained after a shooting Saturday evening on the city’s southeast side.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department sent a release at 7 p.m. stating officers were called on a report of a person shot in the 600 block of Twin Aire Drive, which is right off Southeastern Avenue.

Officers arrived to a find the victim in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the person shot is in stable condition.

A person has been detained, but police weren’t able to confirm if they were involved or not.

No further information was given regarding the incident.
