Person fatally shot at west side apartments, IMPD says

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is dead after a shooting on the west side of Indianapolis on Monday afternoon, police said.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 6100 block of Beachview Drive around 12:30 p.m.

That address is at a west side apartment complex right off I-465, south of 10th Street.

When officers arrived, they located a victim with gunshot injuries.

The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

IMPD Public Information Officer told News 8 that it’s too early in the investigation to provide details on the victim.
